FAQs

At Ellevate we pride ourselves on developing artists holistically with a view that they build sustainable careers. We believe at the heart of the artist’s journey there needs to be a fanbase and ownership of that fan data.

We don’t ever dictate how you coach our artists or the advice that you give but we ask that you are mindful of their budget and take an approach that values sustainable growth.

What is my role as an ellevate expert?

As an Ellevate expert you are assigned an artist/artists with whom you will have monthly coaching calls. The role of a coach differentiates from that of a music manager and we believe that every artist at every level can benefit from coaching. The coach is there to support, offer advice, set homework and be there for the artist to help them navigate the challenges and opportunities that they face.  We have chosen you because of your experience and unique qualities so how you choose to coach is entirely up to you but we do have a guide that may be helpful for your first session.

Do I get to choose the artists I work with?

No, we pair artists based on your expertise and the preferences you outline when you sign up with us. We then automatically match you with artists that meet this criteria.

What information do I get about the artist?

Each artist fills out a form which includes their bio, links to their music and social platforms, their goals for the next 12 months and the problems they are currently facing. We also advise coaches use the first hour long session to get to know the artist, understand the problems they face and set some goals for your time working together.

How long will I work with each artist?

Ellevate is a monthly subscription so you may work with an artist for one month or you may work with them for years.

How do artists book a call with me?

You will be added to the platform where we connect your calendar to our scheduling system. This will allow you to set your availability and artists will be able to book around what is in your own calendar, ensuring that there are no clashes with your normal schedule.

How do I get paid?

You will be paid £130 per artist per month which is for 1 x 1 hour call and 1 x 30 minute call. You work as a freelance consultant and are not employed by ellevate. You are responsible for your paying your own taxes.

To receive payment you will need to send your invoice at the end of each month, addressed to:

Ellevate Studios Ltd
16 Well Row
Bayford
Hertfordshire
SG13 8PW

Am I expected to introduce the artists to my contacts?

No. We make it clear to artists that you are under no obligation to introduce them to your contacts, however if you feel comfortable doing so you are welcome to.

What else does the artist get access to when they are a member?

They get access to 1.5 hours of your coaching time plus your follow up notes and tasks.

They also get access to over 40 hours of online webinar content from our industry experts which is constantly added to, templates, weekly emails from us to keep them on track and a Discord community.

More features will be rolled out in the future.

How do I send follow up notes to the artist after?

You and the artist will be added to a Notion page which you will be able to use as your hub for sharing notes, information and planning. We have a template we currently use but you are welcome to customise it to compliment your style of coaching.

Will the artist email me?

No. The artist will send all communication via Notion.

Can the artist book extra sessions with me in a month?

You have the option to make yourself available for additional hours. If you choose to do this you will be paid the following;

  • £60 for 1 hour

  • £30 for 30 minutes

What if I want to continue working with the artist outside of ellevate?

If you build a rapport with the artist and would like to move your relationship from coaching to full time management you will need to send a formal request to jt@elleven.world and provide at least 60 days notice.
